Coral, Astreopora Fancy

Product Description

Product Description

Astreopora colonies can be domed, encrusting or plate shaped. The polyps usually extend from the center of small, dome-shaped mounds. Though their skeletons tend to be more porous and fragile, they most closely resemble Scroll Corals (genus Turbinaria). Astreopora corals are not commonly offered in the aquarium trade and their aquarium care is thus not well known or thoroughly researched. They tend to do best in moderate to high light and in moderate to high flow, and they appear to have low aggression. Though much is unknown about their care, they are fairly hardy corals.
